Cirque d’Hiver Bouglione
A unique Parisian address,
the Cirque d’Hiver Bouglione offers a variety of entertainment to the public,
ranging from art exhibits, fashion shows, circuses, concerts, etc. It was
build in 1852 under the guidance of Jacques-Ignace Hittorf, who also designed
the famous Gare du Nord. The Cirque d’Hiver Bouglione is 42 meters in diameter,
and can seat 5900 spectators - quite a feat for the 1800s!
It is located on the rue
Amelot, between République and Bastille. Consult the Pariscope
for current events there.
