This spring, Paris has a new museum in honor of Yves Saint Laurent
.
In 1961, Saint Laurent established
his own fashion house, in partnership with Pierre Bergé. In 1985
he received the Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur from François
Mitterand. And this year, a museum in the 19th arrondissement of Paris
opens in his honor, housing tens of thousands of original documents and
YSL modeles.
The museum includes a space
exhibiting models which were created specifically for the cinema and the
theater, as well as a catalog of his influences: Mondrian, Pop'Art, the
Ballets Russes, the Sahara, the famous evening jacket...
