In the fall of 1979, together with a partner, Nishu created a company called SILKY SATIN which for the next ten years was remarkably successful throughout France, Europe and also in the United States. At the height of her career, Nishu stepped away from the world of fashion to give precedence to her personal life. During this period, she spent much of her time working on the interior design and also the landscape design of her superb house on the Montpellier coast of France. Nevertheless, whenever she had a spare moment, Nishu continued to make jewellery for fun. Then in 1994, she decided to found a new company called ENKA. Her first collections were so successful, that she decided to leave her home on the Mediterranean coast, to return to Paris in the spring of 1997. The ENKA atelier is located
on the romantic Left Bank of Paris, not far from the Jardin des Plantes
and the Quartier Latin, with easy access to the Prêt-a-Porter
fashion Salons where Nishu exhibits her wares twice a year. Her jewellery
can be found in highly fashionable stores, such as Le Bon Marché,
and a number of boutiques on the trendy Rue du Four.
